Hi all,
My family and I (6 of us total) full-time in our 1976 Airstream. We were having some new axles put on the old girl here in Boulder, Colorado and got the call from the repair shop today that while the new axles are golden, we have a bent and/or broken frame.
Sooooo....I'm in the process of finding a place that can take a look at it and hopefully repair it. June in Colorado seems to be a busy time for RV / truck repair shops.
My question basically is, does anyone from the area have any inside tips on where we might start looking? The normal routes like Airbnb, VRBO, Craigslist and vacation rentals are all crazy expensive. $900 / week or $2000 / month.
I'm asking because when I've lived in places before, I always knew of somebody who knew of something, but I'm a stranger to this area.
And with the repair work, as of this moment it's uncertain if it'll be a couple of weeks or a month to get this thing fixed up and back on the road.
Not looking for a handout, just some friendly advice.
Also, if anyone knows of a repair shop in the area who might have some bandwidth over the next couple of weeks and can handle working on a 31' travel trailer, that would be welcomed information too!
