We have four daughters, ages 10 through 14. Our travels are with a 30 foot bunkhouse, but mostly we stay close to home at Hidden Ridge resort. Lots to do there and within easy driving distance of our home so we can pick it up and go elsewhere any time we choose!

I'm feeling less like a minority with every post. We are two working parents with 3 kids (4, 9 and 11) in Arkansas. Like most we are limited to weekends and 1 or 2 longer trips a year.

I'm glad to see this thread coming alive. I hope next year some of us can make small rallies.

families who camp together stay together

We travel with two boys ages 14 and 17 and being home learners, we have a lot of time to dedicate to streaming, off-season especially. Looking for teenagers in BC, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

m.nolte,

Yep, Louisiana natives and a grad of UL Lafayette. We are currently living in the bootheel of Missouri. It would be good to meet up some time if we could make it work!

Yep! It's nice to find out that there are others who aren't yet even close to retirement or full-timing (though it would be fun!) 😉

For several years in a row we went to Crowley's RidgeState Park. A nice quiet little park.

We did a mini caravan of one last spring break and stopped there for lunch between parks. That was a very neat park. Our kids were begging to go back in the summer to swim, but it didn't work out.

Swimming there can be hit-or-miss. We've always been lucky, but have had friends who got shut out because of high bacteria levels 😳. We always enjoyed the low traffic flow and the fun trails--especially "dancing rabbit". The suspension bridge on the trail is awesome!

There will be families at Canopener this year. I think last year there was at least 6 AS with families. It was good fun! It was a good time and we welcome more families.

The main reason we put so much time and energy into our AS is to spend time with the kids. We have a 6 year old and a 4 year old. If there is any one wanting to get together in central or north Florida feel free to Message me.

We are returning to an AirForums rally in two weeks in no small part to the presence last year of many families with kids. Of the 55 or so rigs that showed up last year, 10-12 had young children. It was awesome! It's amazing how becoming a father has altered my vision of what is "awesome".

We camp regularly with our 10 and 15 y/o boys and occasionally with our 20 y/o daughter. we are in Maine but camp all over the place, more regularly in the NE, but this summer we took a trip out west as far as Idaho.

Besides long trips we plan trips with relatively short notice 1-2 weeks out.

Ooof. You had my attention with the number of rigs and kids. CA is a once or twice in a lifetime trip for us, not a fit-it-in weekend trip. Bummer.

You guys inspire us, we are planning a big family as well. I'm glad to see you're making it happen in an Airstream.

Maybe somewhere after #4 a big ol bunkhouse is in our future.
