This weekend we made the trip to bring home our new pride and joy.
She now sits in a RV storage lot near our house.
Without the help of local past president Dwight Dixon and his wife Carole, the undocking process would have been much more difficult. We offer tremendous thank you to Dwight and Carole.
It had been landlocked in Antioch IL in the same spot since 1989. Dwight helped locate tires at reasonable costs, advice on bearings, brakes sysems, and lights. He also helped us through "The Incident" which deserves a separate thread of its own. Too painful to put into print right now, but that will be covered in a few days. It will probably go on one of those threads covering the injury and pain we inflict on ourselves sometimes in our eagerness to get on the road.

I know you must be thankful to have your Airstream home. Best wishes for a quick recovery from your "incident". Whatever happened, I hope your injuriies weren't too severe. We'll be watching for your next thread.
