Probably because they annoucned the video ipod yesterday.

I just bought my wife an ipod photo a couple of weeks ago. It's a 20 gig. The new video ipod is 30 gig for the same price

I have her going to the store right now to exchange it or get her money back. We have 21 days to return and today is day number 20!
