Musikfest in Bethlehem PA August 1-10th

Is anyone or has anyone gone to this Musikfest? I see the Troubadours will be performing on August 2nd and 3rd.

The Bethlehem musikfest is a great time and is relatively close (1/2 and hour) from where we live. There is lots of great food and great performances. I have been to see Arlo Guthrie, Robert Cray, and Delbert McClinton, just to name a few. These were all performances that required payment and tickets. But there is ALWAYS scads of free concerts going on. We try to go every year and have always had great times. Parking is sometimes an issue. Sometime we get lucky and find a spot right in town and other times we have to park in one of the outlying lots and take the shuttle into town. Are you thinking of making the trip from Michigan???

Sounds like a real fun event. I was somewhat surprised that an AS rally had not been fashioned around it.

I have been wanting to see the Troubadours again since AS' Homecomings but have not been able to be in the right place at the right time. Have you seen them perform, they are wonderful and so funny!?

Come on down there's lots to do in PA. It's a short trip. I once rode my motorcycle from Reading , PA. to Ann Arbor, MI. on one day and it only took me 11 hours.

The only exposure I have had to the Troubadours is a CD that came with one of our Airstream Life magazines. Their songs are pretty good. I wonder what a live performance would be like.

A rally centered around the festival sounds like a great idea. But Airstrams seem to be few and far between here in PA for some reason. Our WBCCI chapter is quite active, but not all that large. So I would not know how well attended it would be.

If the wife and I aren't doing anything and the weather permits we take a ride up and take in one of their shows. If we go I will be sure to post a full report.

You'd love the show they remind me a bit of Sha Na Na but funnier with a trailer park theme and the music is good too, gets you moving and tapping and laughing.

Time and distance isn't too bad, if we can make it I'll shoot you a pm. I see another thread up about it and someone is staying at the KOA.
