Multi AS'

A question for all those folks who have more than one AS; how do you decide which one to take out? Length of trip? Number of people traveling? I was always curious about this…

I would think all of those would come into play. But in my case it is neither one at the moment When I get done the 75 will most likely be the one that goes to rally's and for general purpose travel and RV'ing. The 80 is still an undecided project. If it goes back as an RV and not commerical use, it will have a full custom interior and probably be the one I live in while on the road.

Easy!

The one that has the least mice in it! Just kidding

Not speaking for who knows how many out there - but I know a few that have more than one - there is always a project one - so the easy answer is the one that has the most working or the prettiest

Our case the Globe Trotter fits the bill - the Overlander has a long way to go and the Excella is a static unit for now.

Bounce for the Mice!

Hey, I'm not having to make the choice of which AS to take out on the road, as I only have my first one (look, I'm saying 1st one already!) Freudian slip....
but....I had to chuckle and raise my hand up when you said the one with the fewest mice! Have you tried to use 'Bounce' fabric softener sheets? I got a great email that suggested putting them in all the little crevices and storage places to keep them varmints out! I almost gagged taking a handful of them in my car to the Bambi parked in storage....they really are stinky in bulk and I wouldn't blame the mice for passing my Bambi by for easier and less aromatic pickins! If anyone has used them and they really work let me know...I just put mine in this week matter of fact....

Mine are both about the same size, 25'-26' but very different. The newer one has both gray & black holding tanks & a solar panel so it can essentially go anywhere, even boondocking.
The old one goes to vintage rallies only if there are full hookups.

Which to take???

Well,

We have two. One is finished, the other is totally disassembled. So.... we take our Bambi. Not sure when the Flying Cloud gets done what we might do. Probably take it on longer trips if we need more room. But, the Bambi is less to pull, probably less fuel consumption, further trips.... all speculation at this point.

We also (heresy) have a teardrop. Last summer took it 6,000+ miles. Had a great time. But, the poor little thing hasn't been out since we finished the Bambi. Hummmmmm, guess we could throw the dice~!

Good luck!

Yes, length has a lot to do with it. Only 2 of us so that is not an issue. Sometimes it is the novelty of it.
Heck, we’ve even used one as an in-law rig at the Region One Rally. They had a ball Airstreamin
