Monterey Historic Automobile Races

I've finally done it... This will be my first year camping with my Safari on the track at the Laguna Seca Monterey Historic Automobile Races. Anyone else out there heading to the Monterey Penninsula for the big automotive weekend in August?

Great idea, we have been a Laguna Seca for many past races (mostly CART and SCCA), but have never stayed "trackside". Are spaces still available, and can you share any details? We are in So Cal and have a 25' Safari.

If there is availability we would certainly be up for the event.

That sounds great! We are long time boondockers and got an airstream for stuff like this. Would you please give the details? If you ever want to spend time in the desert and not see ANYBODY let me know and I'll give you directions.

Todd...what campground did you reserve at the track? Per the Website, it looks like they have a few with different services and locations.

Howdy, My wife and I attended the Historic Races many times whern we lived in Coalinga. It's a great event. Enjoy your time.

Definitely interested in boondocking locations in Southern Cal....I live in Desert Hot Springs( Palm Springs Area) and live to explore new spots.
