Meeses (Mice) "Tis the season..
This thread may belong somewhere else, but we went out to storage to check Luna and.. EEEKKK.. little mouse doo-de-doos EVERYWHERE.
I doubt this is her first bout of meeses in all of her 38 years, but I am going to try the sonic meese thingies, as well as haul her home and let my terrier spend the night out there.
I will also buy some plain old traps.
The MICE have to leave so WE can Come in!

Before putting her in winter storage, I stripped the trailer of all linens and such items.. and they're not in the mattresses.
So the little critters are either coming and going, or I'll ask my dog to point them out.. she is a FANTASTIC small critter eliminator.

After reading your note, I went out and checked both the Overlander and Minuet - - no evidence in the Minuet, but not the case with the Overlander. It looks like it will be clean-up time here as well.
I don't know whether your coach has been at a commercial storage facility, but if it has they may have commercial rodent baits out to reduce rodent problems. I thought about letting one of my Chihuahuas loose in the Overlander (he is a good mouser), but then it occurred to me that we have had to put out commercial rodent bait in our storage facility to keep the mice at bay - - it is supposed to be safe around pets, but I still don't want chance ending up with a sick puppy because of a baited mouse.
Good luck with your mouse erradication and cleanup - - I won't mention what I found in one of my tie-on chair pads (for the folding Leg-O-Matic chairs) when I opened the rear 3/4 wardrobe over the water heater).

One of my biggest fears! But Luna is outside at a car storage facility, on a gravel parking lot but surrounded by four fields.
Thus, the mice.
But at least they'll be edible.

When I opened the wardrobe, the cushion was on the verge of falling on my head - - when I looked up I could see the white stuffing coming out of the cushion - - then the mouse in what appeared to be in mid-jump - - when I stepped back and caught the cushion I realized that the mouse was dead (it had evidently gotten entangled in the thread holding the upholstery button to the cushion - - needless to say that cusion is now in the trash bin).

My cat is the champion mouser at our place but the dogs (at 140 and 125 pounds) make a great effort. Can't even imagine them mousing in an Airstream! The big dog will scoop a mouse up in her mouth and then stick it out on her tongue (when I say "give") very much like a cartoon. Unfortunately the mouse usually escapes and the mousing escapades resume.

It is hilarious. I never have the presence of mind to grab the camera OR have her go outside before I have her open her mouth. Maybe this year...

My dog could care less about a mouse in the Airstream. He would chase one outside of the Airstream like no other, for some reason hearing a mouse run around inside (it has happened a few times while camping) he is completely content. I mean zero interest.
I found two mouse nests and one dead mouse in my underbelly when I dropped the belly pan recently. They must like the insulation, darkness etc.

You know, just when you think you're rid of it...We finally got to lifting out the carpet the POs had installed...and there were little desicated hantapoopies everywhere underneath! I couldn't believe we slept there and didn't get sick. Fortunately, there's no sign of current residency (though last year I filled the two cracks in the belly pan with expanding foam, which seems to work). Needless to say, I quickly went to town with a mop--on both the original flooring and the backside of the carpet (we have to live with it for a few more months until we're ready to install the new lino). Personally, I hate the droppings more than the mice, except when they are dead.
Yes, I agree. Ew.

No, no dent in the cieling, but there may be a spot as when I caught the cushion and realized a mouse was still in it, I pitched the cushion straight up and it hit the ceiling before bouncing into the bathtub - - it was upon retrieval of the cushion from the bathtub that I discovered that the rodent was dead - - and another dead mouse was in the bathtub (don't know whether it had been dislodged from the cushion or was already there)!

Did you know we breed Aluminum Mice in Canada!
We were lucky no mice in the GT - must have been too wet in Louisiana and now too cold in CND!!!
But this next one (no name yet as the deal is not done - but soon!) just might have a few of them in it been sitting in a field for a while - will have to send in the AS-Mouse to control the SOB's
Seriously, we have an aluminum mouse given to us by my parents - they joke about the mice we get in the basement so they gave us one for the trailer to make us feel at home - tee hee
PS the AS Piggy is our "Restoration Piggy Bank" kept at the front door for unsuspecting donators.....

The mouse that lived in our trailer last summer like the drawer where we stored toilet paper (under the fridge). When tom saw it -- it camew from under the sink. It ran around on top of the countertops dropping it's do-do there.
It got in the drawers where the dishrags and pot holders were. And tore them up.
No evidence was found in the sleeping quarters. Imagine one of them buggers running across you when you are sound asleep.
We found no evidence of them in the upper cabinets, just the lower ones.
Tom had one in his truck that was caught in the mouse trap. Tom had left some food in the truck. Little debbies, crackers and or course paper towels.
After we got the cat, we have seen no evidence of it any more. The cat stared at the opening under the sink but if it caught it there was no evidence. Just the presense of a mouser may be enough to keep them gone.
good luck with the dog getting rid of them.
