Welcome to the Forums!
If you go to the "Portal" tab at the top of the page, and then scroll down, keeping your eyes to the right, you will see a link to the Trailer Inspector's Checklist and a utility for finding volunteer inspectors.
Are you looking at a relatively new model, or something vintage? Is it a trailer or an RV? These are good pieces of information to communicate to a prospective inspector. Also, the price is a consideration. I might enlist a volunteer inspector to check out a vintage project trailer that is a few thousand dollars, whereas, if I am looking at something that is in the tens of thousands of dollars, I might just hire a professional RV tech.
I am sure that if you post some pics or a link to the ad, there are plenty of folks here on these forums who would be more than happy to offer their observations. Even though most sellers are perfectly honest, they may not really understand what kind of shape their trailer is in, especially if they have left it parked for a couple of years.
good luck!
