From the listing:
The body and interior are in very good condition. It has new tires and new carpet.
===================================
My Aunt Fanny! Missing doors on the exterior, rear end sag for sure. Did you look at the front end closeups? The big dings, the one on the streetside looks like it may have penetrated, the streetside wing window is seriously cracked at the bottom outside. Curbside front has nasty crease and ding in the radius segment, down low..... did they not know how to trailer, or backup, or what? All the windows appear to have peeling solar guard, nasty looking! The entire unit is so dad-gummed dirty! Look at the pictures and do the enlarged versions! Well, at least these show the defects... but what ISN'T being shown or disclosed? Tis unit is worth five hundred to a thousand to me..... omigawd! Am I turning into an Airstream snob? Hmmmm. I would make a funky storage unit.... and make me the envy of my friends with lesser storage arrangements! 'Cause it looks to me like those axels will be due any time. Wonder if you get one or two of those bar-b-cue size LP tanks?

I'm betting it smells funky inside, so at least that part might be accurate. And if the furnace doesn't work, it's probably cool. So I don't really see any misrepresentation there

2air, you ought to be ashamed. that is TRULY misadvertising... why... ANYONE can clearly tell that's a class "C" motorhome, not a class "A"...

I have a buddy who lives and breathes Model T's and A's. He lives in Saskatchewan, Canada. I fired him a copy of the T - camper unit. He will love it. Thanks for sharing.
As for misleading ads - not only does the buyer beware statement continuously come to bear, but it also raises the question about who does buy this stuff when these ads are so unbelieveable? These units disappear, as in likely sold, so someone out there must jump right on them. Is there something here we are all missing? Gads, could it be that WE are missing out on the real deals? I shudder to think about the world digressing to that state of one being funky again. I thought that disappeared with my orange and brown plaid bell bottoms (I can't believe I admitted that).
And I've not heard dad-gummed since my father passed. It brought a smile and fond memories back of my dad when he was cheesed off about something and trying to make a point.

Caravel
Ok, this is off an ad on Seattle Craigslist. Now, the person does admit it's a project, and they don't list a price, but they do say they know what it's worth so don't bother trying to lowball them. Enjoy these pictures. I actually yelped outloud when I saw them Poor little Caravel!

I think the modification to the rear bumper and the custom luggage rack will bring big bucks!

Needs a little work all right
Hey, the outer skin - what we can see of it - looks OK. This is one case where a gutted interior might improve the outlook.
My 59 has more bumps on the outside.

I think the pepto-pink interior is the thing that really kills me - ugh! It's a shame we can't see what sort of upholstery went with it.

Speaking of Misleading . . .
This eBay seller seems to be purposely trying to make a normal Airstream 25' Cruiser appear to be a rare 22' Byam Traveller: 1952 Airstream RARE 22' Wally Byam Traveler -Restored-. To me this seems to be intentional misrepresentation. It has to be for the seller to even know that a Byam Traveller exists.
In the ad he states " Absolutely stunning , polished beauty. This rare 22' single axle airstream is believed to be a Wally Byam Traveler - which was only made for one year - 1952- so rare , no photos are available"
and
" I have not found any airstreams like this one photographed. It was named after the founder of the airstreams and the man who made famous the airstream caravans which have traveled all over the world. I have never , EVER seen another for sale like it anywhere.".
Well, to the seller why not check out what a '52 25' Cruiser look like here. Of cousre disclosure on the serial number would clear up this "mystery" once and for all.

Well, and how hard is it to make things GO???? If you're selling a trailer, you damn well should know exactly what is and is not good about it. Actually, let's apply that to any eBay auction. I'm sick of asking old men "Well, what era is your S-curve rolltop desk from???" ..... "I dunno," they say, "I got it at auction." Well, ask someone! Appraise it! I might pay a lot of money for the right answer!

And add to the fact someone asked him how long it was and the response was Hello, The length of the trailer is 22' from the front of the trailer to the rear. The title lists 22' so that is how I have it listed, but it is longer with the small rear end bumper and the front hitch
HELLO that makes it a 25' trailer in my book and Airstream's as far as I know...and that makes it a Cruiser not a Traveller.

1951/52 25' Cruiser
The serial number 6095 confirms it is a 25' Cruiser, a regular production model Airstream for 1951 or 1952 and certainly not a 22' Traveler. Caveat Emptor.

I missed the serial number in the eBay ad. Good catch. Mystery solved.
