Post Airstream new web page: BIG loss to us?

It looks like as of March 26, 2003 Airstream has started a main redesign of their web page. Links I used on the 25th are gone.

As a result, all links to Airstream pages given on this forum prior to this date may be DEAD. Info on current models are still there of course.

I did not see much of interest to me, like VIN# info, weigth of older trailer,....etc.

Don't lose the files that you have downloaded in the past. They may be hidden somewhere: I did not "search" too thoroughly, but it does not look good.

The only thing left is: Airstream History

Thumbs up New website...

Websites tend to be in a constant state of flux...sorry you lost your links, I'm sure the info is there somewhere...don't give up!

Did you check www.airstream.com? It looks the same to me...

All in all, I think the new site you linked looks great! Sure seems like it'll be more appealing to the younger folks...

Shari,

sorry to inform you of the passing of Airstream.com as we knew it.

It is now: http://air.pclancy.cust.servlets.net/index.html

Both addresses bring you to the same place.
I have not really lost my links, as I have downloaded anything of interest to me in the past.

My concern was the confusion this will cause on this forum when people click on links given prior to 03/26/03, as they have now disappeared.

Spooky, I just got the old site again. I mean, I had used the old site, then the new site was up about an hour after I last visted and just went back and the old one is back at airstream.com.

I took a look at the site Femuse posted.

http://air.pclancy.cust.servlets.net/index.html

As of this moment, in typical Airstream style they have in the trailer section the Safari mixed up with the International and they still have the 16' Bambi or future 16' International where as far as I knew they only had a 19' Bambi.

Similar kind of stuff in the '03 brochure too!

Just checked out the "new" AirStream web site. Much improved over the old one.

Great improvement

I do web design part time and I think whoever designed this page did a great job.

The old page was a bore. This one is visually pleasing and definitely a class act befitting the Airstream image.

The new site came back up this A.M. I love the factory tour and the future web cam. They are planning a store grand opening today. If it's anything like the rest of the site, it's gonna be really special.

Silvertwinkie - I have seen both 16' Bambi's and a 16' International, so both exist in the real world. However, they appear to have removed the 16' Bambi from their website.

Just went and checked it out. Starting to look really good.

Hit the comercial button on the left. Remeber the pictures somebody posted of the A/S MH with steps to the roof deck...well there is a picture what has to be it from the outside.

dmac,

There is no current 16' Bambi for sale currently as an '03 that I am aware of unless it became avail in the past 8 hours. According to the brochure, the 16' International is somthing that's coming and is currently under development.

From the looks of it, the one on the website is the old 16' Bambi which is not an '03 model.

BTW, I emailed A/S about the Safari/International mixup and they fixed it within a few hours. I also mentioned that if they don't offer a 16' Bambi why do they have it pictured as "THE" Bambi on thier website? Not even a whisper from them though....but it looks like they made some changes (maybe based on my email...maybe not...)

International CCD

International CCD

19 "BAMBI"

Here are the floor plans.

Says its a 19' does not refer to it as a 16'

I looked at the link and it clearly says CCD 16'. The other for the Bambi is 19'.

Also, my current brochure has the 16' International under development. If it's avail, great, but as of this moment, I just got off the Airstream site and they have a Bambi on the main lineup page that is the old 16'. Anyone that knows the '03 Bambi knows that the outdoor hood vent is on the drivers side cause thats all that is avail in '03-- the 19' Bambi. Only the 16' had the same vent on the passenger side. I have a '02 brochure and an '03 brouchure and the one in main lineup picture on the website is the same as the 16' Bambi that they had avail in '02, not '03. It does not appear to be the International 16' that was "under deveolopment." After clicking on the Bambi on the main page trailer lineup it does bring up the right '03 Bambi that is 19'.

Regards,

Eric

GIVE 'EM HELL ERIC !!
The new site is super cool, it's just handy to have references like trailer weights etc. available when you're looking for the right coach weight for your tow vehicle. And also what ever other reference information that is now gone. Do you think that stuff will return?
