Red face Wheel Well Question

Hi All,
I'm a newbie here with a "new" (for us) 1960 Streamline--I know, it's NOT an Airstream. But to my question. Wheel wells are SHOT!! Do Airstreams have plastic/fiberglass wheel wells that could be used? Are such animals available anywhere? Ours is a two-axle 28' Empress. Thanks in advance.

Wheel Wells

Airstream has it in plastic. Might fit. Measure yours and then call Airstream and ask for the store. The lady will check too see if any of there's will fit.
If so get the part number from her and then have your local Airstream dealer order by party number.

Hi Gunny,
Thanks for the resonse. Sorry to bug you, but what do you mean by 'Call Airstream?' Corporate HQ? Local (in my case nearest) dealer?

They will only sell through the dealers, so that is why , after you get the part number, you have to call the local dealer.

Here's a set I've been watching on ebay, $15.99!

I decided to fabricate a pair of replacements after the devastation of a leaf spring failure out of some aluminum scrap and $5 worth of pop rivets.

I would think it is probably a lot more cost effective to fabricate your own out of aluminum than to buy pre-made ones that may or may not fit well. A pair of snips and a pop-rivet gun would be the biggest expense (if you didn't already own them).
