Lower Rock Guards - Segment protectors

Anyone know where I might be able to purchase the lower Rock Guards for an 88 Excella? These are the ones that protect the skin on the nose of the trailer.
Thanks
Ed

Hi Ed. I'd think the principal source would be an Airstream dealer. I know that the current high segment protectors just under the front windows came in about 2005.

For general discussion search the Forums on segment protectors -- the proper name. Select Advanced Search. Check 'Relevancy' in the 'Sort Results by' section or you'll get a lot of garbage returns.

Rockguards are the window protectors.

Aha! The lower height segment protectors shown in this post are what would be more authentic for your year. I think... Any '88 owners please comment.

SEGMENT Protectors

Now that I have the right name,(Thanks BTW) I am looking for a set from 88 or so. I like the ones in the photos but I have seen photos of ones that match up with my trim.

I learned something new today, Segment Protectors!
thanks!
Ed

Hey Ed,

I think these segment protectors were home made. You can get the ones you need either from Airstream dealers or.....Inland Andy.

I did some restorative work to a '76 that had the segment protectors badly warped from excessive heat (don't ask how) and the owner got new ones that matched perfectly from Andy. Try both sources and see how you make out.
