Bolt pattern to get a spare
We did not get a spare with our camper when we bought it and need to get one. Has anyone figured out what the bolt pattern is to buy a new wheel/rim?

They are an American standard.
You Airstream has 6 lug wheels.
The bolt pattern is called 6 holes on a 5 1/2 inch bolt circle.
Your wheels also have a "zero" offset.
Keep in mind that the correct wheels for your Airstream, must have a minimum of 2600 pound rating.

First message on the purchase of my first Airstream, a 1983 Sovereign 31 ....pick it up from being checked out Tuesday .... and of course the first question is about tires. Can I assume that the 83 bolt pattern is the same 6 lugs @ 5 1/2 inches as the 71 with a 7" wheel.

Welcome to the forums. Yes, it is the same pattern, offset, and capacity.

by the way ..... there is no 83 Sovereign in the profile list. Saw the thread on the lack of documentation on an 83, but my certificate still in the trailer notes it as built in April of 83 with a "D" designation.

Just purchased a 55 Safari with "off the shelf" aftermarket wheels. I assume they too are 6 on 5.5?

Vintage Trailer Supply dot com sells the correct wheel for your trailer, powder coated in black. It's a 6 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern.

I picked up a spare D-Rated for $100 at the local trailer place. This was tire and rim. It is not something that I would run 100% of the time but it should be fine for a spare. It is an ST rated tire = Bomb, so I will have to go slow with it.

Is the lug pattern the same for the 16" Airstream wheels (with the LT tires) the same as the 15" lug pattern. I have a set of Centramatic balancers for my current 15" wheels and wonder if they will fit my on-order Airstream with 16" wheels.

Yes... the bolt pattern is on the axle/spindle side, so that does not change when you change the wheel from 15-16".... 6x5.5"... oh.. ZERO OFFSET for the Wheel, too.
