Hensley Arrow weight distribution

I'm not sure what happened to the adjustment screw on on my weight distribution bar can anyone tell me if clip or something has come loose allowing it to pop up this. It only looks like this when it's not hooked up to the truck .

The nut on the bottom end of the threaded shafts has come loose. You will need to disassemble and loctite in place, and refrain from turning the jack (loose) hard against its stop.

This must be made different than my older Hensley jack. The Hensley jack that I have near the top of the jack there is a small hole with a set screw inside on a collar. You may have to turn the jack a bit to see the set screw. It takes an allen wrench to adjust.

Not really a big deal, takes longer to find the correct size allen wrench in my tool box than to fix it.

If the new jack is like my old one this IS the problem.

The nut on the bottom of the jack MAY be off also, but the primary issue is the set screw on the collar is loose.

By the way, the nut on the bottom of the jack is a left hand thread, (righty loosy, lefty tighty)

Taking the jack off, repairing and reinstalling is about a fifteen minute job.

There is a flat spot machined into the jack screw for the set screw to tighten against.

I went back with locktite thread locker. ( right or wrong)

The set screw was loose on the collar at the top of the jack I thought that was the problem in the beginning but I did not see the set screw because of the grease after my origin post I double checked it and found the set screw easy fix thanks
