Towing 19ft Bambi with 2009 Tacoma v6sr5 w towing package

New to this. I'm hoping to tow a 2004 19ft Bambi, with my 2009 tocoma. It has ten ply tires, ele brake and a lift kit in the back. What do ya think? I would really appreciate any input. My wife and I are going to hit the road in a year or so, I want to do this right. Thanks

I think I posted to another thread you started about your tow vehicle. We tow a 2006 19" Safari SE with a 2007 Tacoma Double Cab, Short Bed, with a tow package...and we are completely happy with the set-up... We've been up and down mountains all over AZ, NM, Southern CO and Southern UT and southern CA. Do get a sway control/weight distribution hitch... we use an Equal-i-zer hitch. You'll be fine. Have fun!

We have upgraded to a 2016 Tacoma w/tow package since this posting. Still good. In fact better!

The Tacoma is rated for 6500 lbs. The 19' Bambi is 3500 dry and 4500 full.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your answer, very appreciated. But, What about the payload, The Tacoma seems to only take 1000 Lbs, minus the 550 Hitch Weight, The WD (don't know if it counts) My weight, The Cat's, all my extra storage, generator, Bycicle. It actually would not permit all this ?

I should have noted that we have a tonneau cover on the Tacoma's bed rather than a full shell. We did this partly to limit the cargo we haul. If there was room we'd naturally be tempted to take more "stuff". 😎
