Looks to be a capable tow vehicle with an inline 6 gas engine and EQ boost electric motor (362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft torque). The order book is nearly finalized and pricing is set. Not an inexpensive option, but a very capable one. Still waiting on final specs on towing and EPA estimates, which should be released when it appears at dealers, imminently. What is the expectation in relation to towing specs?

I have only seen one reference to towing and that was "manufacturer's estimate" of 7700 lbs. That is in line with prior GLE's except for the full hybrid model which was significantly lower. This is a mild hybrid and and does not have a massive battery pack of its predecessor. The electric motor is also small enough that it should not affect towing capacity but adds greatly to the torque rating. Carrying capacity of the 7 seater is 1623 lbs (3rd row optional and also deletes the spare tire).
