Trailer Front High?

I cant really tell since the shot is from the front and not the side, but it has the illusion of the front of the trailer being higher than the back, which is not really optimal. That's the trouble with these new Fords being so tall. you have to really have a long drop shank, since the AS hitch height is so low compared to most other trailers. I'm in the bottom hole in mine and another 1/2" would probably be perfect. Still, its a beautiful combination!

I think he should trade the truck for an Ingot Silver color to really make it look good.
Just kidding, we just placed an order for the identical truck in silver. Will take 8 to 10 weeks to get it.

Blind Spot Sensors

I have read that the new 2017 Ford's can be equipped with blind spot sensors that cover both the truck and the trailer. For those of you that have this system, does it work with a wide body Airstream?

When you special order can the price be negotiated?

When the trailer is plugged into the truck the blind spot sensors and rear parking aid is automatically turned off.

That is different than what was in their press release. "Blind Spot Information System with trailer tow is optimized for Super Duty to include the length of the trailer up to 33 feet long; BLISŪ uses radar sensors in the taillamps to monitor areas that may not be visible to the driver."

Special orders are easier to negotiate and the dealer makes a little more since the vehicle doesn't sit in inventory.

I recommend dealing with the internet/fleet sales people and not the retail sales people.

I special ordered my 2017 F-250 for invoice less $1,000 less a $1,000 factory rebate. You have the option of using the rebates available at the time of order or time of pickup which ever is less. I could pay less depending on what incentives are available at the time the truck arrives at the dealer.

One technique to use it tell the dealer you got a quote for X from dealer Y and ask if they can beat it, they usually do.

We just special ordered a 2017 F-250 Diesel, Lariat with the Ultimate upgrade. With the X plan and Ford incentive we were able to shave 8% of the MSRP.

Could have bought a 2016 with about a 15% discount without a lot of the bells and whistles we wanted, but considering the improvements in the 2017 and our plans to hold on to this truck for the long term we felt the 2017 was a more prudent choice.

Dang it! I had just talked myself out of trading in my 2016 RAM 2500 - looks like I'm going for a test drive after all! Thanks!

THEPILL,
That is a very nice truck. I just ordered a very similar truck and also with the 3.55 Electronic Locking Axle. Mine will have the same wheels and tires as yours. Are you happy with the ratios?
Also, do you know the hight of your hitch to the pin....just wondering if I am going to have to adjust the propride. I was at 21 inches with my 2016 GMC Denali.
