Oxen... perhaps you don't care about having it all.
The point is that great function & reliability, luxury, striking looks, and high quality can all be had in the high end Chevy and GMC trucks! They're sweet, indeed. And, possibly, slightly more expensive as a result. At least in the case of the Denali.
If you like something else, that's fine too! There's something for everyone in this fantastic truck market!
I don't pay any attention to what the masses are buying? What does that mean? Not much, really. What sells the most is what I don't really care about.
Buy the best in your personal determination, what YOU like the most... not what the lemmings may be buying. The most "popular" goods on the market are often not the best goods on the market.
No doubt that many people buy a Ford simply because they have heard that they are the biggest sellers and, for that reason alone, assume that Ford is what they should buy as well. I've had two Ford trucks, an F-150 and an F-250. They were ok. Didn't light me up, though. Now, Chevy's and GMC's do light me up!
Nothing wrong with buying a Ford, Dodge, Toyota, whatever. If it works for you, that's totally fine with me. They are all well-made trucks and capable of getting the job done well.

Two generations of GM full size trucks ago there was an issue with burned out bulbs, nothing more than that. There is no such issue in more recent GM trucks. Of course it was more noticeable back then because the competition did not have daytime running lamps at all, so they had nothing to burn out.

I have owned 9 fords, most were new pickups, the ole engines were getting tired with 90000 miles, cheaper to trade and drive a new one, every one told me Ford is number one , I believed , after seeing the 6 liter diesel joke. No more ford, the old 390 will out pull the v-10, the new 6 liter to replace it is no better, I bought my first dodge used in 2009 , with the 6.7, it has been good with 93000 ,we are in upper Wisconsin on another trip and all is wonderful.

Ford #1 keeps the other guys on their toes. Competition is good.

I am sure that Ford has a real decent truck. Owners are quick to tell you how popular they are, #1 in sales again this year, all in an attempt to equate popularity with superiority. Years ago I read a post that someone made about the Mac vs. PC debate. PCs outnumber MACs by a large margin.

Nay, nay! Watch them on the highway for a month or two and then say that the ele system isn't a recent problem. I see it almost every day and certainly every time I am on the highway.

I am not going to get in a pissing match on this one. I used to work for the company as an engineer, so I know the details. There were changes made for the 2007 generation trucks to address the issue. The warranty data confirmed the success of the changes. You can continue to believe what you want.

Hi, yes and the old McDonalds hamburger argument too. But the big difference is that most people complain about Ford's pricing and buy a Dodge or Chevy for less. If the PC was the same price or higher than a MAC, what would people buy then? As for your cockroaches, I believe that they have out survived humans for gosh knows how long; They could be superior.

This is nonsense. A year and a half criss-crossing this country several times and I don't recall a single instance of noticing this. And I've had numerous GM SUVs and trucks over many years. Never seen nor heard of what you're describing. Why you would be harping on this I do not understand, but have at it if you wish. The rest of us have eyes and travel the roads and we'll come to our own conclusions on this.

During our search we really loved the interior of the new F150 (especially the Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum) and the exterior of the new Chevy/GMC's. DHart, no question you have a fantastic looking pair! One of the most beautiful combos I've seen. I believe DCBruce has a similar set-up in the 1500. Beautiful!!
