U-Shape Dinette is Useful

We've decided we really like the newer u-shaped dinette feature. Turning, then locking, the table 90 degrees from normal gives one person workspace, and the other lots of 'flop seating.' And you can still open the refrigerator.

Is the table top on tracks also so you can move it in and out from the aisle as well as rotating it like you show? When making the dinette into a bed are the corner curved cushions stowed under the table?

Yes Kelvin, you're correct on both. The table can be positioned about any way you like. We likely will never need to use the sleep mode, but it does convert easily. The table telescopes downward. Much easier than the older drop table designs.

The Flying Cloud 23FB and Sport 22FB are the two plans I've seen currently featuring it. Larger plans tend to have both a gaucho/ lounge and a booth-styled dinette. But like any Airstream, I bet a customizer could install one.

is the pedestal removable from the floor and table top? If so how does the track system work?

Or is it designed to telescope downward and not be removed from the table?

The pedestal appears to be designed to stay in place. The sliding track system has a latch pin under the tabletop. I have not tried to see if it will slide completely off the track, but I suspect it has a stop tab. The pedestal has two unlatching turnbuckles which allow it to rotate, and to collapse downward.
