Thumbs up

We have a 27-foot Safari. This model has two beds in the back and a couch in the front.
My wife a problem with hiatial hernia so she cannot comfortably sleep in a horizontal position. I removed the front couch and replaced it with two, large leather recliners. The models purchased are "wall huggers" which allows them to be located very close to the front wall. This arrangement is much better for us (no children) as my wife gets a good nights sleep, the floor space occupied is no greater than the couch that was removed and the seating capacity, during the day, is equal to the couch.
When the couch was removed it exposed electrical wiring lying along the front wall and the electrical control box. re-routed the wiring (so it's not visible) and relocated the electrical control box to the inside of the covered storage compartment on the left side of the trailer.
The only negative (and it's overshadowed by the large amount of positives) is that there was some storage space, under the couch, that was lost.

The matresses in our '79 20ft Minuet were rather flat. I was unable to get the upholstry zipper to work with out breaking. I am not handy at designing or sewing...So per a suggestion from here I bought a futon mayyress for the side couch/bed.
It is soft, comfy, a bit bulky but flexible. I only bought one cover for it, but plan on getting a few to swap off as the mood warrants. (Where did someone find a jungle cover? Any good sources?)
Structurally the bed/foldout is still fine. Sure, my matress doesn't match my end upholstry but at least I am getting a good nights sleep<S>
Good Luck!
