Making bedding for kids' twin beds

I checked out the website Spoonflower.com after seeing mention of it in the Forums. I love it!!

We just bought a '72 sovereign and I have been thinking about how we will make it ours. With the help of DD8, we came up with the idea to make quilts (or duvet covers) for the twin beds, where the kids will sleep.
With the help of Spoonflower, we are having our fabric printed to make the bedding, and some pillows for the couch - hubby said no to Orange curtains ;-)

What do you think?

It's going to be a long MN winter!!

:-)

Cute! I love the combo of the printed fabric and the orange fabric in the first picture.

Thank you!

Silverflames, the fabric is from Spoonflower.com
Cool website where you can have your own designs printed or you can buy fabric that others have designed.

Great Fabric

Very nice post. Thanks for the link to spoonflower. I like the orange but would make it accents as I might tire of it long term. Throw pillows, blankets/throws, removable valances, sleeping pillow cases and yes duvets. A nice splash of color goes a long way in a small space. Nice art work also, is DD8 a forum member or a site.

Thanks, Hittenstiehl!

DD8 = dear daughter age 8 ;-)
I'm on an orange kick! Started when I painted our bathroom orange, and love it!
I probably won't start sewing until after the holidays - too much going on over the next 6-8 weeks.

I always look for pictures in the forum where it shows the inside of folks' AS - love to see what everyone has done to decorate.

:-)

Samyjam, visited spoonflower, very nice site and they get good reviews. I think I will use them also for some throw pillows when you we get that far. I also scour the web looking for ideas and color combos that are fun but long lasting. Pinterest has a nice growing collection of trailer interiors I enjoy.

Good luck regards
