How much can the pull out sofa support?

We just upgraded from our 2011 19' to a 2012 27' FB Twin. I thought for sure this answer would be easy to find but haven't been able to.

The sofa that pulls out into a bed feels pretty sturdy. But I imagine if I were to try get out of that bed and are sit on the edge with all of my weight surely I will eventually snap it.

Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know if there's a weight limit on the bed? Thanks.

Hi, I don't have an answer for your question, but my Gaucho should sleep two normal sized adults. [space wise] And in the couch position, four people can sit on it. The frame on mine is all steel.

You're talking about the pullout shelf on the street side of the coach right? I have never seen a weight rating but half or more than half is still the cabinet. I've only had one person on mine so far. I wouldn't sit on the edge and bounce up and down. Or wait..... Oh never mind

Yes, the pull out on the street side. I'm scared to test sitting all of my weight down on the edge when it's extended. Curious if anyone has ever broken theirs.

Wish I could help you with an answer. We actually had a friend install pull down "legs" for support. I should take a picture of that and send it to you - it looked rather easy to install.
