Need advice on winter storage in Connecticut...

This will be our first full winter with our Airstream 23D. After much research and reading on this forum, I cannot find answers to my questions, so I'm asking now.

1. Is it safe to store the trailer on jack stands over the winter so the tires can be moved inside? I'm looking at using six 6-ton jack stands to do the job, with rubber-topped cinder blocks as a backup. Two jack stands behind the rear axel, two jack stands in front of the front axel, and two jack stands up front.

2. With the wheels off, should I do anything to cover or protect the wheel drums?

3. I know I'm not supposed to cover the trailer, but should I use a cover on the AC unit?

4. Should I cover all of the windows to prevent any amount of light from penetrating?

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!
