7 pin connector protection
How do you boys and girls protect your 7 pin connector when storing outside? I looked around for some type of water proof cap for it, but I can't find anything. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I spary some contact cleaner on mine from time to time while it just sits (once a month). I also hang it through the frame so that the open face points down. I then always spray both the truck contacts and the umbilical before first use with contact cleaner.
I have had trailers for many years and have never had an issue with a plug. If you go to the beach or live where there is alot of salt air then I would do regular more intensive cleaning of the brass contacts.
EDIT: I have seen people place a plastic bag over the plug and tape the end to protect it but with condensation issues I woud think you will only make matters worse.

7 pin protector
I got mine from Roger Williams Airstream 800-378-5883 ask for David.
It mounts on the frame and the plug is held in as if pluged into TV.

How about a large trash bag over the Jack? You pull it all the way down onto the jack and you tuck the 7 Pin line, electric emergency brake release line inside the bag. When bag wears out you just replace it. It protects the rubber on the 7 pin line as well as the jack from the elements.
That's my 2 cents worth.

I always liked that setup and for this topic - the removable 7-pin cord with a cap socket would solve all the storage/damage/sun/dog/etc. issues.
Maybe a retrofit item?
