I have a '67 Globetrotter and the window gaskets all need replacing. The windows in my trailer are a mix of Corning and plexiglass, so I decided to start on a plexiglass window. I followed the suggestions in the various threads here and ended up with what looks to be an acceptable, if amateurish, job. My one concern is that the window is not flush with the trailer body. It's as though the gasket is too thick. Have I screwed something up? I'm also wondering whether it could be the window rather than the gasket that is the issue.
It could be that the plexiglass window does not fit the trailer quite as well as the original window. You can get the windows now (they weren't available for quite some time). Check with Inland RV.
I bought the gasket material and adhesive from Inland RV. I'm discovering that some of the hardware needs replacement also, so it's back to Inland on Monday.
