You can read a lot of opinions concerning Adseal on Airforums dating back several years. Good luck

Frankly, none of the sealants Airstream uses come close to the longevity of marine products. My approach has been, "what would I use on my boat?". Not Adseal.

Jim, Tolley’s is a good product. We’ve been using it for years. After I saturate a joint, I tape it off and seal the lap with silver Parbond. Does a great job.

Adseal for sealing airstream
Good idea Bubba. My son has managed to keep the 67 Globetrotter dry with treatment at some offending rivets. The Parbond would be excellent insurance. Thanks for the hint. Jim

I read all the negatives comments about adseal in this forum. I talked to airstream and they stand by adseal so I decided to use adseal . I found that adseal is different then other silicone products and it was easy to apply so I have no regrets. I also use extreme tape for the roof

I have used Adseal since resealing the roof 3 years ago. it is easy to match when adding to existing adseal when installing other accessories nearby. The real beauty, and some feel it is a draw back, it how easy it is to remove compare to all the earlier sealants used when it is time to reseal. I have not had any loosen upon its own. I guess it could if you hit it too close with a pressure washer. In that case only use an electric pressure washer with pressures around 1400 psi several feet away.

I just had ours sealed by the dealership. They were using adseal, i asked for the sikaflex721??? white which lewster recommend highly for roof seams. The 221 is more for adhesion and seams as i understand it

I have heard lewster say that AdSeal comes off too easy. However, when it is time to remove the others and reseal (every 5 years is Airstream's recommendation) you are talking a two day job removing and cleaning up the old hard stuff.

Wasn't sure if i had the tyoe # right. Here i believe is the most current recap by tintin in post 206. I should add that the dealer loved the 721 for roof sesms and flashing and has changed their goto seal.

I did my homework and read all the comments on adseal and I have to say it was easy to put on and it works. It’s not the regular silicone
