Curb installation for Maxim skylight

Hi everyone, this is my first post!

I have a 1973 sovereign with everything gutted. I have removed the roof AC unit and want to install a maxim skylight. Here's the issue, it requires a "curb" for the skylight to mount to. I've scoured the forums and various online suppliers either to source out a new curb or how to manufacture a new one... no luck!

Any guidance would be so appreciated!

The curb on the late model units is constructed from extruded aluminum channel with below profile (crude sketch). The top flange is where the skylight frame is sealed to the curb. The middle flange is secured to the exterior roof skin and caulked over. The mitered corners of the curb are welded together. The curbs on my AS are exposed right now waiting on delivery of two Maxium skylights. I can grab you dims of the profile if interested.

Oh, and forgive my manners. Welcome to the forums!

In my sketch I failed to include the lower flange which is visible in the pic located just above in inner skin. The wood blocking shown in the pic allows a interior plastic trim piece to be mounted which sits flush with the inner skin.

I am getting ready to replace my garbage OEM skylight with a Maxim. What was your trick to getting the curb and roof so clean?
