Anyone have that driver's fixed window?

Well, after a lot of back and forth I've learned that the Ole Gal is safe enough to drive to Baja. She's certainly not going to smog in California and still be enjoyable to drive!

So I'm wondering if anyone who's parting out a comparable unit to my 1986 345 motor home can sell me that fixed pane of glass in the driver's side window? I know at least one person here was parting out their old coach out but I can't remember who it was.

I think bkahler is the Forums member who recently parted out a 345.

Just thought I'd report on the progress with this in case anyone else ends up with a fixed plexiglass window on their driver's sided for lack of a replacement window.

I called a glass guy who specializes in Challenges. Or so he says. He came by and told me this:
He can bend a new glass window, custom, up to about 20 percent. He quoted me $375 to replace that glass. He quoted me $175 to replace the plexiglass.
Then he took out a rag with polishing compound and showed me that I could get a lot more visibility than I thought just by polishing it as though it were a plastic headlight.
So that's what we're going to do for the time being.
Too bad there are deep interior scratches where the catch slides across the plexiglass. But I'll see what headway we can make on that.

Now that these windows are so hard to get, you may find yourself with these choices too.
