Apple TV Install 2008 Safari SE 25FB

I have been reading all the posts regarding installing an Apple TV. I checked my factory installed Sony TV and there was a HDMI port in the TV but it was hidden behind the mounting plate for the TV Mount. I took the TV down and cut a slot to access the HDMI Port. Installed the Apple TV and ran a test at home.

Everything worked fine. Will be taking the trailer out to run a test over WiFi to see how it performs.

When the TV is stored you can’t see the Apple TV. Good Fit.

How well does the remote work with the Apple TV located behind the TV?

The 4th gen Apple TV uses a bluetooth RF remote, no line-of-site needed.

The newer Apple TVs use radio frequency remotes.

I did not test it with it in the stored position. We normaly have it out away from the wall as shown in the picture. The older Sony TV gives off some heat. Next upgrade will be the TV to a larger size.

Thanks for mentioning that.
