Talking Battery cable gauge

Hi,

Does anyone know what gauge the battery cables are for a 77 Excella 500.

Robin, while I do not know what the original gauge is, I have used 4ga in many projects, without a problem, ever.

You don't have to wire everything with huge wires, you won't be demanding 500+ amp loads like you were starting an auto engine, so 4 gauge should bemore than enough for you.

Robin, they are probably 8 AWG, 6 at best. I'd be surprised if even Airstream spent the money for the correct cable but 8 will handle 45-55 amps safely. Barely.
