US Carburetion? Propane EF2000...

I see several posts about this company; many people loving their product, but others hating them. The posts are mainly from 3 or 4 years ago.

1) So, I wonder what people's recent experience with the company is.
2) I think I only need the EF2000, but am considering the EF3000 just to get the electric start. Is the propane EF2000 easy enough to start that I can save the money? (I used to have a gasoline EU2000 that was easy to start until the gasoline got a few months old (even with stabilizer) and then I had to pump it out. This will be propane, so I realize its not the same)
3) As I said, I think I only need the EF2000. My refrigerator draws 16a for half a second, 13a for 2 seconds, and then 1a to run. The generator maxes at 16.3a, which is not enough if I have 2a going to other things when the refrigerator goes on. Do you think the EF2000 is adequate? (My EU2000 did okay)

Thanks much.

No problems with US Carb
Sent them my carb, turn around was quick

Runs great
Can't beat LP
No resins, no fumes, no winterizing

here's some commentary:

Toller,

They did go thru some bad press a few years back, mostly due to a lack of competent customer service, vague install instructions, nothing to do with how well the conversion works.

We went for the dual use option on our Honda 2000i, still flawless 4 years later.
Runs everything but the AC.

It was well worth the $'s.....

Has anyone used this source for their tri fuel conversion.

http://www.generatorsales.com/order/...S_Tri_Fuel_Kit

Seems to be simple and a little different conversion from US Carbs.

Looks to be an almost exact copy of the US Carb version.

You can see in these photo's the parts that are not included in that "simple" kit.
The LPG tank, line's, quick disconnects, tach/hour meter.

I don't have a generator, so I was looking to buy one made by professionals rather than by me.
They sell them ready made, but without any factory warranty.
US Carbs have a factory warranty on everything but the carburetor.
I'd just be more comfortable.
