unusual looking plugs

I have a 1971 internatinal , can anyone help me indentify the type and purpose of plugs that are located at the rear restroom inside a cabniet and also one in the kitchen next to the sink, size are about 3in length 1 and half witdth and 3/4 in. thickness those are the only two the rest that are inside and outside are regular household plugs.

Pictures would be helpful....but I do recall my father having 12 volt electric shavers. This "technology" seemed to be short lived and I have no idea if AS used them.

Are these circular sockets and the 3" measurement is the depth of the socket? If so, these are probably 12v "cigarette lighter" sockets (though they're not designed for the heat of a real cigarette lighter, of course.)

I also have one in the kitchen and one behind the mirror in the bathroom.
