Track Lighting?

Has anyone installed track lighting in their Airstream? Found these on the internet and they look pretty interesting: Track Lighting: MonoRail Fixtures LM-F281 LM-F282. Low profile is the way to go. Can I just use existing wire going to fan and light? Thanks!

They are low profile -- but the rail support is still going to take up space. Wonder how this fits into ceiling-forehead clearance.

It might be good to find out where you can actually see the illumination field somewhere they may be installed in your region.

I'm hoping our more electrical savvy folks can comment on your power source question.

Not familiar with this particular brand, but the website notes that they are xenon lights...I tried some xenon lights for undercounter lights in new kitchen at home and found that they generate a lot of heat...

just something to consider for your project...

I bought these lights once (because I like the look) but after looking at them in the trailer they took up way to much space. The lights ribbon or track hangs down 4" and by the time you hang the light(s) to the ribbon you now are talking 6" to 8", I think you would hit them with your head! So I returned them and that was that.... Besides they uses a lot of energy when on and get really HOT!

I don't remember the specific thread but some members have installed some very slick looking recessed lights that look great. might be another option
