old electric wires

Hello, I'm restoring my 1959 Streamline I wouldn't take inner skins apart replacing old electric wires. I thougth getting the old wires like a pulling guide knoting new ones' to the end. This way is not good because olds' seem to be glue inside the wall, they don't flow out. Any idea for my goal?

I've taken apart an early 1970's model Airstream including removing the interior skins and if your unit is put together similarly as that 1970, you will never be able to snake new wires using the old ones as fish wires. The existing wires are attached in many places to the interior ribs with cable ties, and the like. The only way to replace the wires is to remove the interior skin or surface mount the new wires in as inconspicuous places as you can.

Drill out the interior wall panel rivets below, or above, the windows. The interior panel can be moved away from the formers ....enough to put in new wiring. You have to make holes, and rubber grommet them, thru the formers as you run the wire. Then re-rivet (or screw) the interior panel back in place. This not the correct way, which is to completely remove the panels and run the wires. But it will work for you.
