Clearance light mystery

Ok I just replaced all my clearance lights on my 1977 31 ft land yacht. They all came on and worked great except for the middle light on the top front and rear clearance lights. I checked the bulbs and grounds. No worky. Odd. I haven't put a meter on them yet to check the voltage but has anyone else experienced this?

I am having the same problem on my 1977 Trade Wind. I have checked everything and have discovered that the way clearance lights were designed back in 1977 is my problem. They depend on a small plastic post (actually 4 of them) to hold the socket connection to the ground and +12 volt feed. Some of my 16 sockets are not tight any longer. So, if I push on the connection with a screwdriver, they work. I am still looking for a permanent fix. If I find one, I will post it.
If yours are new, ground is not an issue but the +12 volt wire could be an issue. That is a more difficult problem to trace. I had a short is one of my clearance lights and had to cut a hole on the inside skin to fix it. Good luck.....

Ok i solved my problem. Turns out it was me. The front light i somehow pulled the red wire out of the harness inside the AS. So i had to put a jumper wire in the the front cabinet to the light right next to it. The back one i didnt have a good connection in the wire connector.
