LED clearance light upgrade question ???

I was looking into the LED conversion of the clearance lights. I thought that the trailer would be grounded through the body and the lights would be a single wire connection. So that is what I got. I took one light off yesterday and found a 2 wire connection. That is no problem since I can return the light I bought and get the 2 wire. I was just suprised to find the gound wire.
This is for an '85 Excella 31'er.

all of mine (so far) have been body grounds.

I have done all the reds, yellows will be done soon as we get to the front of the trailer...
