67 Overlander, what is the switch above the door??

Mystery #1:
My 67 Overlander has a switch (normal light switch) above the door, slightly to the right. It is not my outdoor light as it is by the window and further towards the front of the unit. It seems this "mystery" switch is causing a short in my system. Also, could anyone provide the wiring diagram for a 67 Overlander and more particularly this switch circuit??

Mystery #2:
My unit has a removable plate on the belly skin on the right side near the front tongue area. Riveted to this plate is a 25 amp breaker / relay. This breaker has one blue wire coming in and one blue and one large red wire going out (three wires total). The blue going out is my 12 volt feed to the battery (fed from the tow vehicle). What is the red wire?? Help!!

Mystery #1:
Is it a light switch for the light in the front, middle of the trailer. I have a '68 Safari and I have a light switch above my door also and it is a light switch for my middle light. I had a short in mine also and had to drill out the rivets, re-attach the wire and rivet the switch back on.

electric jack
break-away switch?

Thanks for your responses. For mystery #2, I don't think it for an electric jack as mine appears to have never been equipped for a jack. I wouldn't think it would be for the brakes as the brake power should run through the smaller wire loom which contains the wiring for the running lights, blinkers, etc. I may be wrong but it wouldnt' make sense for that wire to lead off by itself and besides, it looks like the exact kind of wire that the original univolt was wired with (red, heavy guage, braided copper wire).

Uberphotos, it sounds like you have the same sort of switch. Currently, when you flip my switch, the breaker trips the whole 12 volt circuit, which indicates a short circuit of some sort. Where did your wire lead to from the switch?? It appears, from what I can see, that the pair of wires to this switch (1 black, 1 white) lead up the inner skin towards the top. I would like to follow it and repair it if possible but would like to know how much drilling and riveting I will have to do first. Thanks again for your help!!

mccaa891, I really didn't have to track down the origin of the wire, my short was due to the fact that a wire was loose as it hooked to the switch. All I had to do was re-attached the wire...no "wild wire hunt for me"...

Mystery solved!!! The switch is in fact a lead to the light in the center of the unit (kitchen galley)!! It merely is a hot lead that breaks the hot wire to this light so you can cut it on or off as you leave and enter the door. The light wires up a little differently because of this......color of wire means NOTHING in this scenario!! The red wire of mystery #2 was also discovered to be a lead to the break-away switch on the tongue (thanks to the help of the gentleman at Inland RV, great guys)!! Thanks to you for all of your help and I will be back with more questions as I enter the next chapter of resotoration for my vessel. Thanks!!
