Bathtub leak between top of tub and bottom of shower skin

We purchased a '76 31' Soveriegn Rear Bath AR two weeks ago. With known problems we began with repairing the water lines that had blown due to freezing. All visible copper has been replaced with 1/2" Pex with sharkbite connectors. THis has been a 6 trip plumbing job so far.

This morning was the Big Test; My wife at the water faucelt, me inside with all faucets open. Air moving through, then water at the bathroom sink, YEA! then water seeping out between the seam where top of tub meets the base of the shower 'wall'. DRAT!!!
(I'd send the pic I took, but have not yet learned how to do the pic thang here YET)

1- Does the tub have to come out to repair this?
2- Can I get to this area to replace copper with Pex from any other way, than remove tub? (desperate restatement of question 1!)
3-ANy other choices?

I searched the forum til my eyes were 'bout to go, so if this has been addressed before, please accept my apologies, I need enough eye focus left to read responses!!!

SO GLAD y'all are here!!!

Shower Leak repair, access found!

Answering my own question....('76 31' Rear bath Twin Int'l Sovereign)

Access to the shower controller and shower water outlet is by removing the bottom shelf in the medicine cabinet at the left of the bathroom sink.

I stuck my digital camera down there, took a bunch of pictures and determined what was needed to fix, replace and repair the damaged copper tubing with Pex tubing and Sharkbite connectors.
