Question Water Heater Replacement, Others

Just bought a '76 Excella 500, no manual or papers of any kind available. The water heater had been removed, and would like some help identifying what to purchase to install.

Any ideas of where/how to get a manual that explains how to use the refrigerator? the range? the heater?

Any and all help will be sincerely appreciated.

You can get a Service manual from Secraterial Services that will tell you what you want to know about your AS. Her phone number is on the vendor forum. Your best bet is to contact an AS dealer and ask him about what water heater to replace it with.

There are many acronyms or shorthand we all have begun to use, some are obvious, some are not. Some are misconstrued to mean something they do not mean. Here are the ones I know.

AS= Airstream
TT = Travel trailer
MH= Motorhome
LMAO= Laughing my A** off
ROFLMAO= Rolling on floor Laughing my A** Off
IMHO= In my honest opinion
SOB= Some other brand, not an Airstream. This is the one that some people misconstrue.

These are but a few, but they are the ones I see being used the most on the forums. I hope this helps to clarify the posts you have been reading, welcome to the forum!

In my neck of the woods (Arkansas) it means Lots Of Luck.

Another "new-owner" question about the used AS bought yesterday: on the curb-side interior wall near the front is a small control panel; trying to remember the names and labels, but they are something like: Raise, Lower, Return, etc. Any idea what this is for?

You should be able to get a new Atwood water Heater that will fit right in the existing opening.

Try this link:http://www.campingworld.com/browse/p...13&prodID=1648

Here is their HomePage:Atwood Mobile Products

Off Topic: Another abbreviation you will also see references to:

PO = Previous Owner

control panel

You may have a motorized TV antenna, the control panel you refer to may be to raise and lower the TV antenna.
