Atwood Water Heater

Stopped at Camping world today.

Their expired catalog had my heater for $369 but, today it was $476.76.

I understand inflation but, that is a bait & switch.

Does anyone know where I can purchase one for a fair price? I am not looking for the best price but, just a reasonable deal.

Any help is appreciated.

Try this:
https://www.rvpartsoutlet.com/newsto...11C4C32EA74533

I buy non Airstream parts there frequently, and find them reasonable, with good customer service. I talk to Don, or use the internet order form.

This may sound like going the other way, but try your local Airstream dealer. I was quoted a price much lower than the camping world price for one with the direct spark ignition and lp/110v. It's a six gallon and the same unit that's going in on new Airstreams. If I remember right, the dealer cost was about $280 and I would have ended up paying about 20% over that.

Try PPLMotorhomes.com They have parts too, and I just got a great deal on an Atwood water heater.

I've bought from rvpartsoutlet.com about 3x now. Each order is packed well, shipped promptly and the prices are very good. The specials sometimes can be unreal.

wiring diagrams for Atwood Heaters

Howdy!! We recently switched from a 6 gal LP/electric DSI...to a 10 gallon. Unfortunately, we do not have the wiring diagram for the 10 gallon. Sent an email to Atwood, but they have not responded yet, nor do they have the info available as a pdf file on their website. Plus, it is approaching evening time.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram that they could send to me by email??

thank you SO much

Atwood water heater

I bought from this guy on Ebay, he has a store.
http://stores.ebay.com/Holiday-Kamper\
To replace the one in my '87 Sovereign cost me $220 and another $20 to get it to my door. It should arrive today. Jerry is the gent who I worked with and he was great. I would definately look to buy from him again if he had the direct replacement parts like this water heater. Just one more suggestion. Good luck, Doug

Do you have the switch with two toggles and a center light. I had to call them and wait on hold but finally got help. I think the model 10-E has these switch panels.

Water heater install using wax paper

When I posted last I had not received my water heater yet. It arrived in perfect condition and I did the install on Sunday. wingfoot321, you were right. What a job. My old one crumbled away as I removed it. I save all the old bolt on parts but don't know why. Removing the pop rivited pieces from the inside did make a difference in removal but I haven't been back in to reattach. To say the opening was snug would be kind. I wrapped and taped wax paper to the top and bottom of the opening and did the same to the styrofoam insulation around the tank. With a little effort she kind of slid in. This had to be installed before the cabinets were in place. Still working on some leaks in the fittings but the worst of it is in. Just wanted to give a heads up on the wax paper. Really worked slick.
