Angry Atwood "aluminum" water heater door...

I purchased this door from "Boat and RV Accessories"
on Amazon. It clearly states that this is "6 ga aluminum."

However, it's clearly not aluminum, as a magnet sticks to it.

Don't get scammed like I was.

Perhaps just return it and move on to another product?
Not really a scam but a mis description?

Or perhaps the clerk just picked the wrong door off the shelf? Did you call and complain?

On the other hand, 6 ga. aluminum is about 3/16". That should tip you off that they don't know what it is.

It's not aluminum. It's stainless steel. I've got the original door on my '77 Sovereign.

Don, My '67 even has the original stainless vented door. I suppose that some where along the line they mislabeled it as aluminum! Ed

Sounds to me like a good door if it is stainless. Amazon has a great return system if you do not like it. Print the labels online and send it back. I do not know where to get an al one. I used my old door with the new wh.
