Hose recommendation that doesn't suck

I use, more or less, the same Sewer Solution routine. It has always worked well for us, and we have been using it for about nine years now.

In three years at probably 100+ dump stations we have only come across one that did not have water available. In this case I was able to connect to our fresh water system and use the water pump to empty the tanks. It was strong enough. The real hassle is with dump stations that don't have a threaded hose or a spigot I can attach a threaded hose to. National Parks are the worst in they have the wand with a smooth end. I carry a old piece of cut-off garden hose with a hose clamp for these instances. Doesn't make it leak free but normally enough pressure to macerate. The so called "hose thief" is useless. This is actually the other reason we stopped using the Sewer Solution as our primary dumping method.

Have had no problems with our Rhino Flex and very happy with the tightness of all the joints and connection to Shiny Beast which is a '75 Overlander

I think when it comes time to buy a new sewer hose I will bypass the RhinoFlex and go for the $55 at Walmart Rhino Extreme. The only difference between the 2 hoses may be the thickness- thicker should last longer.
The "flex" or "stays where you put it" feature is what I'm after- the ability to make it exactly the right length.
Click- it's longer. Click- it's shorter.

We are going with a Sewer Solution and want to get a Rhinoflex for backup.

Which Rhinoflex should we get - regular or extreme?

I have 5 footer of the regular. Handy and compact. I use it over the Sewer Solution the majority of the time now. Much quicker.

(Had to use the sewer solution today as the concrete lip around the dump station was higher than the Airstream sewer outlet.)

I ended up getting a RhinoFlex from Amazon.
I love this sewer hose!
There is only one problem:
Some campgrounds have the sewer recessed so far down into the ground that when you thread in the part that connects to the park's threaded pipe you can't connect the elbow because of the tabs that stick out to turn the quick connect end on the hose.
I guess I should try to make an extension/adapter 1/2" long to get the connection high enough to connect.
I wonder if they make an elbow that is 1/2"-3/4" longer...

Presuming that the sewer hookup is in the grass, Use your entrenching tool (spade) to make a gentle slope down to the drain. Or just set a rock on top of the mess to hold the hose end as close as possible to the sewer inlet. Gravity will get 99% in the pipe.

The Rhinoflex is better for traveling.
The Extreme is better for full timing in one spot.
The Regular Rhinoflex goes click-click-click to make it longer or shorter and gets really short for easy straight storage.
The Extreme is like a really thick ordinary hose that can withstand being run over by a truck.
I called Rhinoflex (Camco) and the rep told me the Rhinoflex was better for traveling and that it is their highest selling hose. He was honest. He could have sold me the more expensive hose.
I specifically wanted the click-click-click to make it longer or shorter or the exact length it needs to be to get from the trailer to the sewer pipe in a neat, straight run.
I totally recommend/endorse this hose!
Why didn't I buy one 6 years ago?
Besides the click-click-click to make it longer/shorter/right length, the quick connect feature is huge!
No more wrestling with hose clamps for these arthritic hands!
No more struggling to make the standard stinky slinky long enough or short enough!
This hose is da bomb!

Great feedback and endoresment! I figure that the 15' with a 10' extension would be a good way to go with the regular Rhinoflex.

Rhinoflex is still garbage. Buy a Dominator. I haven't had a problem with it once. The two Rhinoflex where junk.

Interesting. A lot of good Rhinoflex reviews but always open to recommendations. Assume you can adjust the length like the Rhinoflex?

The Dominator hose is a similar product, but by Valterra rather than Camco.
I've never had any trouble with the Rhinoflex.
The fittings can (and should) be tightened with a black collar with arrows and lock/unlock.
I can't imagine why one would want to unlock unless the angle of the elbow needed to be changed.
The Dominator and Rhinoflex and one at least one other brand lengthen and shorten the same way.
I still say the Rhinoflex is a great hose.
It serves my purpose very well/adequately compared to the ole standard stinky slinky with the hose clamp fittings.

I got a kit from Amazon with a 10' hose and a 10' extension in the same box.
I ran into a situation last weekend where 20" wasn't enough.
Every other trailer on the row was pulled forward to the front of the pad with the tow vehicles behind the trailer. That should have given me a clue. If I hadn't set up already I would have done like everyone else and pulled the trailer forward to make the sewer hose reach. I think the RV park built that row of campsites incorrectly. I thought about buying another 10' extension, but this was a one time deal. If I camp on that spot again I will know what to do. I handled it by pulling forward a few feet and dumping/draining before we left.
Another thing I love about this hose is the storage caps. When in place, it is airtight and will not stretch out, making it short and somewhat stiff to put into the storage compartment.
