Water lines 1969 Ambassador

Is there any way to cut out the ruptured parts of the water line and use off the shelf repair connections? The water lines seem to be a different size?

In general, assuming you have copper pipes in your '69, they have frozen and expanded until they were too thin to hold, then they ruptured. Once they have expanded, they seem like a different size pipe and no new fittings will fit on the old pipe. Lots of people try to hold them together with rubber hose and clamps, but in the long run you will be much better off replacing the plumbing with new PEX lines.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but the only real solution, unless you have a minor leak only is to replace the plumbing. If you try to patch it up, you will be patching and patching and patching.

I was afraid of that. I've redone a couple of other airstreams and was hoping for a short cut.
