So after a fun filled weekend of repairing subfloor damage in the rear of the trailer I hooked up water from the house for the first time since I have taken ownership of the AS. I decieded to leave the water on over night to make sure that i did not have any leaks. Well you guessed it this morning on my way to work i noticed that there was water dripping from the belly pan around the axles after seeing this I went inside and was heaing a hissing coming from inside the kitchen cabinets. but the floor and all other things are dry. I checked the fresh water tank to make sure that it was not full. I wonder if there is a connection that i can not see or find under the cabinet.

Has any one had this issue?

Welcome to the forums Chris,

I would check first to see that all of the drain valves are closed. If they are open they will "leak" or "Drain" to the ground.

Was the water coming from seams in the pan or from a hose through a hole in the pan?

I looked for a drain under the cabinets but did not see one except on the outside. As for the water it was dripping from every where it could.

OH BOY !! That is not good. I am not familliar with your year of trailer but that is not good to hear... I am sure that some one with your vintage will be along soon to help you locate the leak. In our trailer all the water lines are above the floor so when it leaks it is wet all over.

Don't know if this will help or not, but all the water lines that supply the various plumbing fixturesare run above the floor. If there is no water on the floor it means the water is coming from another source. The water tank does not fill from the domestic water inlet and should not flow past the water pump into the tank either. So my guess it is a drain down cock that is open and if it is not visible beneath the trailer it is probably located in a cabinet inside, possibly behind a removable panel not far from where the domestic water inlet is located. There should be one for both the cold and hot water lines.

I am not sure about this one because the leak just appeared over night. Its almost like a PEX line has started to seperate.

I have never seen any valves in the cabinet but will look soon!

In the mean time TTT because my feet still get wet before walking inside.

Reminds me of the experience we had when we first hooked water up to our Safari, but ours happened much faster. By the time I realized what the hissing sound was, I was standing in a trailer size flood. PO was less than candid about letting the water lines freeze.

As mentioned in other posts here, all the lines are above the floor and should be accessible for inspection. We learned how to work with PEX shortly after the flood, and replaced all the water lines in the trailer.

Last night i found the problem and fixed it! The leak was comming from the cold water line T where it it stepped down to 3/8" just before the water drain valve. I guess thie just split in the middle of the night. In the process i found the fresh water tank access.
