Shurflo Accumulator
Does anyone know what the optimal PSI is for the small Shurflo accumulator. It says max charge 30psi, which is what I have it set at. I can't tell any difference in how the water pump runs.

I think mine is at 25. It was an immediate difference! Is your oump adjistable?
Where did you insert the accumulator?
I put mine in a dead end "t" right after the pump.

Mine is right after the pump. I have the water line passing through the accumulator. What sort of difference did you notice?

Ours is at 30 psi, mounted under the bath sink and in the cold water line.

We've got a 2017 FC26 on the way this month. Should we assume this is an item we should install ?

According to the instructions I believe ours is set around 20 to 25 psi.

The accumulator has resulted in quieter plumbing, more consistent water pressure - good for showers, dish washing etc....and gives some expansion in the plumbing system for hot water expansion or hydraulic surges when hooked to city water.

I installed mine more than 10 years ago and don't ever remember pressurizing it. I blow the system down when winterizing and thus the chamber is empty when I fill the water in the spring.
It has always worked well as far as extending to run time of the pump and the flow time before the pump restarts. Does what i bought it for.
