pump wouldnt stop running, front valve broke under trailer
Ah the adventures of full-timing. There are 2 valves behind the white water drain valve on our 2012 27' Eddie Bauer. I noticed that our fresh water tank was empty, and the pump was still running. I climbed under the trailer to see that there was dripping from the front valve (on the port side under the trailer next to the wheel well). I turned the valve and it broke off completely at the thread into the trailer!
Now as the city water line froze due to the COLD weather, we cant run the pump either. AS soon as I turn on the pump, water shoots out the hold that once contained the valve. I guess this is a good thing, as now I know the pump still works. I might need to get an Easy Out to remove the 1/4" male adapter from the trailer and 90 degree bend. I am hoping I can just throw a 1/4" plug on it and get water working.
Any blueprints online or recommendations on how to fix this? The hole is to big for a tire plug. I have an appointment Monday with Out of Doors mart to fix this- hopefully warrenty will cover this. I might get them to fix the MicroPulse sensors too, as they never worked :-)
Thanks!
Jason
