Fresh water tank drain valve location?

I have a 76 Ambassador and need to winterize.
Does anyone have any hints on where the drain valve is located for the fresh water tank??
Thanks in advance

Well, on my 71 Sovereign, the drain is located in the cabinet, where the heater is located, under the galley countertop....look there...I'm not sure how different the years and models were.

My 77 model has a plate on the belly pan with a drain valve coming out,the valve is in between the front axle and the front door.

thanks for the replies. I do have a metal access plate on the bottom ( in the middle) of my fresh water tank. When I took this plate off I can see the plastic holding tank. I also see electrical wires hooked up, this must be the water pump. I do not see a drain plug however? I have plumbing problems and some pipes are cracked so I can't use the pump method of draining. I may have to siphon?? I love my new (old!) Airstream but can't believe that they made this task so difficult

My 77 31 foot Soveriegn does not seem to have a place to conviently drain the fresh water tank. I simply run the tank dry with the pump and then dump a gallon of anit-freeze in it to winterize. Works for me..

Smile Drain

Hi All,
My 1985 Sovereigh has the drain valve in between driver side wheels. This is drain for potable water tank. It also has two drains in the back compartment for hot and cold water lines. So you can drain your hot water heater and your water lines.
Regards Russell
