Peter,

Did I read the coverage right? 75sq. ft. per $129.00 kit!!! That seems to equate to about 7 or more kits for a 31' AS. Is my math right. That seems awfully expensive especially whan you are providing the labor!

Take care

Super Shine

Has anyone ever used the services of Airmark Surfacing Tools?

There website is www.airmarktools.net and they claim that they are the masters of making your AS shine.

I don't know about their products, but the web site is a mess. Lots of broken links. I couldn't find out very much from the URL and that's not a good first impression.

Thumbs down Once, twice??

I say this with full cantor..

IMHO, it's like flipping a coin..Some have had great results but, for myself..After driving all the way out to OK to have my A/S polished..Nothing happened, broken promises, etc.
He's a likeable guy..Just depends on the flip of the coin..
After all that..
Let's just say...I'm now polishing it myself..
ciao

These folks are about 10 miles from me and if you can get in they do an oustanding job. First thing they do is remove everything, running lights ect. They do the polishing at night after their day job so it is not in today out tomorrow. There is usually a 2-3 month wait to get in. If I was going to pay I would let these guys do it $100 ft. is what the quoted me.

Opps..
There are two groups in Tulsa that do Airstreams, this is the other group and I have not been to their site so the info in my last post is incorrect. Sorry about that The group I was refering to is actually in Catoosa, OK just outside of Tulsa.

Thumbs up It's not a vintage yet

Garry, I hear you..Actually, there's all sorts of excellent polisher out there..

I had this polishing job all planned well ahead of time..(It wasn't as if I just pulled into town.. )
Made numerous long distances fone calls..months ahead of time..Sended emails confirming my intents, dates, etc. I even asked if they wanted a deposit (I was told that wasn't necessary).
Made plans for vacation time to drop the wife off at her folks place while I took the A/S on to OK. etc, etc..
I even waited around the area for three days before I finally said..
It doesn't look like you're gonna be about to do it..We both were in agreement on that point. Asked if I could leave it and, when they had a crew put together then, the work would be done.(Maybe in a months time) That wasn't gonna be any trouble except for..My gut feeling at that point was turning sour on the whole deal..
The only real reason I wasn't willing to leave it there was because of a commitment.. I had a class reunion to attend..Plans were to stay in the A/S at our place in Va Beach..
Anyway, I guess my point is this. Just be aware that things can and, will happen in this "polishing world".
I've seen on numerous post that, some have had excellent results with their services..It just wasn't the expected outcome for me.
Anyway, as I said before, I'm polishing my own..I think this is the best route for me as I'm learning all kinds of new things..lol
ciao
