Door trim gasket?

Finally removed all 8 rusted screws holding top trim/gutter/drip edge (didn't find the part listed in manual) over the entrance door. There seems to have been either a gasket or double stick tape behind this piece of trim that held it in place. Getting ready to reinstall and am confused if I need to replace this double stick tape. Know I will seal the top edge with Vulkem. The only double stick tape I can find is the foam type from the box store. Thanks for any help or guidance. Jack

The vulkem only will work fine for the entrance door drip cap seal.
